2 February 2017: Sotheby's to auction stars from the Euro Sculpture at Frankfurt's Palmengarten

In the course of an extensive overhaul in 2015, the acrylic glass panels of the yellow Euro Sculpture stars were replaced. The ones removed were later signed by celebrities and artists. On 2 February 2017, Sotheby's will offer the stars for auction at Frankfurt's Palmengarten, with the proceeds going to the cancer aid organisation Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt eV. > more

Mole installation to mark the premiere of the new programme at the Stuttgart Renitenztheater

At the Stuttgart Renitenztheater, rehearsals have started for the new cabaret show "Der Maulwurf – Wühlkommen in den Verhältnissen" [The mole – welcome to the circumstances]. The premiere and debut performance of the media satire, authored by René Sydow and Daniel Hedfeld, and directed by Hans Holzbecher, one of the most successful German directors, is scheduled for 8 December 2016. In the run-up to and during the programme season, Ottmar Hörl is drawing everyone's attention to the piece with a number of temporary mole installations that will – in a genuine mole style – appear and disappear in different locations in Stuttgart. Thus, the artist triggers interest in thinking about the issue. > more

Exhibition "Das Bild des Menschen: KÖPFE - PORTRAIT - MASKE" [The Human Image: Heads - Portraits - Masks], 2 October to 19 November 2016 in Darmstadt

The themed exhibition arranged to mark the 40th anniversary of Galerie Netuschil is an invitation to give thought to the contemporary concept of man in the year 2016. "Hörls Tierleben" [Hörl's Life of Animals] installation, 11 September to 3 October 2016, in Waiblingen

From 11 September 2016, Waiblingen's kleine Erleninsel, or little alder island, will be home to a number of rare animal sculptures. Newfoundland and Rottweiler dogs, pugs, papillon dogs, penguins, suricates, frogs, owls, hens, cocks, ravens, doves, snails, sea lions, rats and ermines will be arranged to form an unparalleled installation that is open to the public. > more

"Querbeet durchs Grün" [Across the Greenery] exhibition at Galerie Abtart, until 16 September 2016 in Stuttgart
