From 9 February 2018, new paintings by Ottmar Hörl will be on view at Galerie Kasten in Mannheim. Entitled "Blutrausch" [Bloodlust], the exhibition is an invitation to engage in multi-layered interpretations relevant to our day and age. > more

Sculpture Johannes Gutenberg

At the beginning of the new year, we have the pleasure to present the brand-new Johannes Gutenberg sculpture. "The modern world as we know it would be inconceivable without Gutenberg's achievements," says Ottmar Hörl. Following an invitation by the City of Eltville am Rhein, the artist will present a sculptural installation, on show between 18 August and 23 September, to mark the Gutenberg Year and commemorate Gutenberg's invention of mechanical movable type printing, an indispensable prerequisite for the global dissemination of knowledge, ideas and education. > more

School for the Blind on Dachsberg: Installation featuring Worldview Models, on show until 31 July 2017

There is a long tradition of open-air concerts and exhibitions held in the spacious grounds of the school for the blind, with the series of events organised under the heading of Kunst & Kultur [Art & Culture] representing one of its highlights. Ottmar Hörl accompanies this year's season with an installation of his Worldview Models, which will be on show until the end of July. > more

The Nuremberg Madonna: Preview for an installation to be set up in Nuremberg's Kornmarkt square in collaboration with the Germanisches Nationalmuseum from 1 September to 17 September 2017

In early September, Ottmar Hörl is set to realise an installation featuring some 600 golden Nuremberg Madonnas. The multiples that pay respectful tribute to the original will be turning Kornmarkt square into a temporary art location. Minister of State Dr Markus Söder has agreed to act as patron for the project. > more
