Under the heading of "Work in Travel", students from Professor Ottmar Hörl's academy class, whose special creative and artistic talent and successful qualification have won them one of those coveted places in Hörl's class, will be presenting their latest body of work at QuadrArt Dornbirn between 17 February and 4 May 2018.
Art lovers are in for a treat, all the more so as Professor Hörl's students have deliberately set aside any obvious specific technical preferences. Their art originates from the gaps and niches of creative forms of expression, moving between different poles where clear-cut classifications regarding style and the materials used are neither called for nor aimed at. The practice of traditional sculpture and an intermedia approach form the basis for a flexible field of artistic creativity, making for an essential requirement to meet the challenges of handling contemporary issues adequately. At the same time, this method provides a range of tools suitable for strategies current in art today and apt for mapping fields of creative activity.
