Caroline Mathilde (1751–1775) was born a British princess and was known as Queen of Denmark and Norway from 1766 to 1772 as the wife of Christian VII. At the beginning of 1772, she was divorced because of her affair and banished to Celle. She spent the last years of her life in Celle, where she died at the age of only 23. > more
