Sculptural Installation "Konrad Adenauer", Bad Honnef

On 23 May 2026 - Constitution Day - a sculptural installation will take place on the Kirchplatz in Bad Honnef, in collaboration with the town of Bad Honnef, the Foundation Bundeskanzler-Adenauer-Haus in Rhöndorf and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

As the first chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Konrad Adenauer was one of the most important politicians of the 20th century.

To mark the 150th anniversary, the conceptual artist Ottmar Hörl is paying tribute to the politician's commitment to democracy and a united Europe with an installation of 250 sculptures in dark gold and ultramarine blue.

The installation can be visited and experienced on the church square in Bad Honnef from 11 am to 6 pm.

Adenauer enthusiasts have the opportunity to purchase a sculpture and take 'their Adenauer' home with them on the very same day.
