Installation, Painting And Individual Objects "AUF ZU NEUEN UFERN" ["OFF TO NEW SHORES"], Mochental Castle - Gallery Schrade

The installation and exhibition of paintings and individual objects "Auf zu neuen Ufern" are presented in Mochental Castle from 16. June 2024. The baroque Mochental Castle near Ehingen has been the headquarters of Galerie Schrade since 1985. Galerie Ewald Karl Schrade has been dedicated to contemporary art and classical modernism for five decades.

The theme of the space plays a significant role in the installation "Auf zu neuen Ufern" ["Off To New Shores"]. In the past, there have already been installations of Ottmar Hörl with a similar concept such as the current exhibition at Schloss Mochental. The installations in Daegu, Korea in 2021 and in Schweinfurt in 2022 already dealt with the field of astronauts and spaceships.

As a counterpart to the installation, conceptual artist Ottmar Hörl is showing his paintings "Naturschauspiel" ["Natural Spectacle"] and "Blutrausch" ["Bloodlust"]. On display are abstract paintings in which powerfully moving lines conquer the picture surfaces. This results in a broad spectrum of possible associations. The paintings are accompanied by an ensemble of "nervous sculptures": stacked cardboard packages on steles.

The installation can be seen at Castle Mochental until 01. September 2024.
