Hardly there – almost gone

Franz Josef Strauß Centennial – made of plastic material and standing approx. 90 centimetres, or 36 inches, tall, several dozen images of Strauß, the visionary and Bavaria’s greatest politician, commemorated Strauß‘ 100th birthday.

Making an inviting gesture, they turned up spontaneously, on their own or in groups, at various places in Munich, e.g. at the Residence, in Marienplatz square, at the opera or the CSU headquarters. Intended as a gift to the public, they remained until picked up by passers-by taking them with them to set them up again in their gardens, living rooms, or offices …
