To mark the grand Caroline Mathilde anniversary, conceptual artist Ottmar Hörl has dedicated the sculpture installation "Caroline Mathilde" in front of Celle Castle to the Danish Queen.
One of the biggest political scandals of the 18th century led the Danish Queen Caroline Mathilde into exile in Celle, where she spent the last three years of her life. On 10. May 2025, it will be 250 years since her death.
The residential town of Celle continues to honour the Queen and her fascinating life to this day.
The golden sculptures are sold at a price of 95.00 € each, or 190.00 € with signature, and are available exclusively at the Bomann Museum in Celle (Schlossplatz 7).
Those interested should simply send an email to CM-Verkauf@Celle.de with the following information: name, email address and number of figures required.
The installation can be seen in Celle from 14. August 2025 to 14. September 2025.
