Cow project, 1985

The cow project is landscape-oriented. It is based on the observation of a herd of cattle in nature, focusing on the structures and motion sequences recognisable. One of these structures – the parallel arrangement of the cows – is the basis for fixing the positions of the housings that indicate the natural movement of the cows and, due to their design, make their current line-up visible. Superimposing the cows with the transparent housings merges the natural situation with an artificial intervention. In the process, the design principle is being developed as an open aesthetic system.
