Theodor Fontane – Wanderer between the Worlds
To mark the occasion of the two hundredth birthday of the famous writer, a temporary installation featuring 400 yellow and grey Fontane figures will be on show in the square in front of Kulturkirche St. Marien in Neuruppin from May 2016. The title of the project refers to Theodor Fontane's most comprehensive work, Wanderungen durch die Mark Brandenburg [Ramblings through Brandenburg], a travelogue in which he describes castles, monasteries, places and the countryside in the region.

WELT-RAUM-FORSCHUNG [Exploration of the World and Space] at art KARLSRUHE
In his exhibition at the 13th edition of art KARLSRUHE, Ottmar Hörl was focussing on WELT-RAUM-FORSCHUNG, or the exploration of the world and space. The white cube of the exhibition stand became the scene of a sculptural invasion: serial astronaut creatures conquering space and holding out their hands to visitors for a handshake. Dubbed "Reisebegleiter", or travel companions, asteroids created by the artist and captured on a series of large-scale photographs, were making their rounds in the deep darkness of space.

"The Large Hare Piece" sculptural project featuring 7,000 Dürer Hares in Nuremberg's Hauptmarkt square, 2003
On the occasion of the five hundredth anniversary of Albrecht Dürer's world-famous watercolour, The Large Piece of Turf (1503), Ottmar Hörl transformed Nuremberg's Hauptmarkt square into a 2,500-square-metre visual lawn by adding 7,000 green Dürer Hares, thus revealing to us the communicative power and mobilising energy that can originate from innovative artistic conceptions – then as now.
